Process

Our matchmaking process begins with a comprehensive, paid consultation to understand your preferences, values, and relationship goals.
From there, we utilize our expertise to hand-select potential matches tailored to your criteria, from our verified database.
We facilitate introductions and provide personalized support throughout the dating journey.
We pride ourselves on our personalized approach and commitment to understanding the unique needs of each client. Our team combines traditional matchmaking methods with modern technology and cultural insights to create meaningful connections that have the potential to blossom into lasting relationships.
After you submit your email address, you will receive an email with a link to a brief questionnaire. This questionnaire is short and simple and helps us determine your eligibility to become a part of our database. After this, you’ll receive another email with a link to schedule your onboarding interview. If there are no times available or if nothing suits your schedule, no worries, we update our availability weekly so check back often.
Once we’ve identified a potential match, you’ll be sent a “referral” which consists of a few paragraphs of why we feel you would be a good fit for each other as well as a few photos. This is just a starting off point - if you want more details or need us to find out something that might not have been discussed during the interview, we can do that. Because, in most cases, we represent both parties, we’ve done the same onboarding interview with the other person and have a deep relationship with them, just as we do with you.
We’re essentially a “pay as you go” service provider. This means no upfront fees (apart from the nominal interview fee), no long term commitments or contracts. We charge a one time, flat introduction fee when you and your potential match have expressed a mutual interest to move forward. Any profiles/referrals you review prior to the introduction are free for our clients.
After being introduced, we check in with you to ensure certain relationship milestones are being met. You can also use as as a sounding board to discuss your thoughts or ask for advice. If either party feels they don’t want to continue in the relationship, we also step in to help end things amicably - ensuring there is no ghosting or time wasted. After the introduction is closed, we go back to the board and start the referral/matching process over again.
Since Single to Shaadi is not a dating app, we do not provide clients with the ability to log in and search through profiles. Instead, our matchmaking team curates potential matches for you based on your preferences and criteria. When we identify profiles that could be a good fit, we share them with you individually for your feedback, allowing us to proceed accordingly. Occasionally, we feature client profiles that are publicly visible, and you are welcome to express interest if you see a potential match. However, outside of these public profiles, there is no searchable database available for clients.

Interview

We charge a small, nominal, interview fee to protect both our time and yours. People tend not to value things that come for “free” and the same goes with time. As you can imagine, we get a lot of inquiries from people with whom we are unable to work (not living in North America, too young, not of South Asian descent, etc) and by establishing a paywall, this helps us ensure only serious candidates continue through to the interview and subsequent matchmaking process.
We will go through your background/upbringing and discuss your “must haves” vs “dealbreakers”. We also dive deep into your personality and past experiences to determine what you’re looking for in a partner and relationship. No prep work is needed, instead, come prepared to be open and honest during the interview and we’ll take the notes. No judgement - we’re here to help you find your perfect match!
If you miss your scheduled onboarding interview, we require you to reschedule and pay for a new appointment. While refunds for missed appointments aren't available, the original payment will be credited to your account once you complete the rescheduled interview. This credit can be used towards future services with us. Please visit our booking page to reschedule at your earliest convenience. Clientele

We work with single individuals that identify of any South Asian descent. Typically that means your ancestry hails from the Indian subcontinent which includes countries such as: Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Likes, preferences, and deal breakers are discussed during the onboarding interview and that includes geographic preferences.
While the majority of our clients are US Citizens that are born/raised in America, we work with singles of different types of immigration status. Our minimum requirement is that you are physically located in the US/Canada with an intent to stay in the West for the long term.

Knowing that horoscope matching is very important in our community, we respect your wishes to know about the referral’s date/time/location of birth. However, we pride ourselves “not being your parents matchmaker” so tend to match partners based on personality and life goals, rather than on horoscope. If this is something that is important to you, we hope that you can discuss this with any potential matches, after we’ve done the initial introduction.
We are actively adding new clients to our database so our demographics are constantly shifting. Current trends and details can be discussed during the interview.
In one word: no. During our research, we found that while many of our clients were open to being introduced by parents/family/friends/etc, proxies don’t take the time to understand you and ultimately what you are looking for in a partner and relationship which is why those introductions didn’t necessarily work out. Because we go through an in depth interview with each of our clients, we get to know more about you, beyond the biodata, which cannot be accomplished by talking to a proxy. Also, we’re not here to claim that marriage is a signifier of your success in life; in fact, it might not be for everyone, whether your family agrees with us or not. So we’d rather work with the single individual themself and understand the motivations behind finding a partner.

No, we have a strict No Refunds policy. Once a ticket or registration is purchased, all sales are final, and no refunds will be issued under any circumstances.

No, tickets are non-transferable. The ticket is valid only for the individual whose name is registered at the time of purchase.
Single to Shaadi reserves the right to modify event details, such as date, time, or venue, without issuing a refund. In the rare event that we cancel an event, we may offer credit toward a future event or a refund at our discretion.

Single to Shaadi does NOT use horoscope in its matchmaking process.
Not at all. While astrology can be a helpful tool for some, it's not a requirement for participation in our services. We respect the beliefs and preferences of all our clients and offer a range of options to support their journey towards finding love and connection.

“Success” is a very subjective term and means something different to each individual. We believe a successful match is when two people are introduced and make it to a second date. While we screen all of our clients for their willingness to be in a committed & long term relationship, we fully recognize that marriage is not the end goal for all couples and do not believe that marriage is the only determining factor of our success rate.
You don’t need to stop using dating apps when working with us because you never know who you’ll meet and when/where, but we hope that over time, you’ll find value in the legwork that we do when sending you referrals which you can’t necessarily get from the apps.

Elite Matchmaker Experience

No, taking a break during the Elite Matchmaker Experience is not allowed. The structure of this three-month program is designed to build upon the coaching work continuously, ensuring that you have the time, energy, and space to dedicate towards getting to know someone new. This process includes regular dates and consistent engagement. Interrupting this momentum with a vacation or prior commitments can hinder your progress and the effectiveness of the experience. Therefore, it's important that candidates commit fully to the program without planned breaks to achieve the best results.
