In 2009, event planner Liz Guthrie organized a Dream Wedding Giveaway in San Francisco, inspiring the creation of Wish Upon a Wedding. The touching story of Vanessa Muza Teskey, a U.S. Air Force officer battling stage IV Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, and her fiancé Capt. Mike Hawkings, highlighted the need for granting dream weddings to couples facing life-altering circumstances. Founded in November 2009, Wish Upon a Wedding provides couples with a day of joy and lasting memories amid their challenges.

We are committed to supporting Wish Upon a Wedding by spreading awareness about their incredible work and sharing stories of love and resilience. We engage wedding vendors, sponsors, and volunteers to donate their time, services, or products to help make these weddings a reality. Additionally, we organize annual fundraisers to raise money and support for Wish Upon a Wedding, ensuring that more couples can have their wedding wishes granted.

Mission
